well I did my part, I bought it from Rosenqueen even, sadly I made the mistake of purchasing Last Rebellion with it...

Yeah same here.  I can't believe I paid all that extra money for the "Special Edition" of Last Rebellion.  All it had was a silly poster that was so not worth it, and mine even came all bent up.  The Sakura Wars artbook was totally worth it though.

it's very far along. More than anyone would think, actually.

I'm sure everyone would have figured it to be much farther along, considering it's going on 4 months late.

I wish I hadn't missed out on the Trinity Universe one but I sadly don't have the money right now to afford $10 more for the artbook and not to mention their ridiculous shipping prices on the new NISA store (can't believe they actually make Rosenqueen look cheaper)

how can the cheapest shipping option to Virginia be $15 for Priority Mail?  Huh Shocked Undecided

I'll just try to get the artbook sometime later off eBay  Tongue

Greetings, folks. I'm the main author of DoubleJump's Sakura Wars: So Long My Love strategy guide.

Looked on this board, saw the deadness, figured people out there deserved a heads-up. I'm happy to say that the guide is not dead; in fact, it's very far along. More than anyone would think, actually. Spread the word to those who you believe would still like to have one.

However, lots of (unrelated) issues came up for the team working on this that have since slowed the guide's production down to a crawl at darned near its final lap. Murphy's Law in perfect distillation, that's what this was.

All I can say is hang in there. I can't say when it's coming out (because frankly, I have no idea), but we're fighting to get it out to you. Smiley As always, watch this space.

Thank you very much.

well that's good to hear  Smiley I've been resisting starting the game up since I'm holding out for the guide, plenty of other games in my backlog to keep me occupied anyways

Good to hear that the guide is still alive. Game is now officially in my backlog so Im in no hurry for the guide now (blame steam sale not me Tongue).

And yah I feel bad for anyone who bought a copy of last rebellion. That game had no business being released and I think it gave NISA a bad name in the process (though they apologized for it and there seemed to be more going on with the pub/dev agreement than we know about).

I'm still thinking on Trinity Universe. Like GrayWolf said, Rosenqueen shipping is a total ripoff so will be skipping the (yet tempting) special edition. I think if Rosenqueen lowers their shipping to 2.99 - 5 dollars (which they can do if other similar companies can), then they will get a LOT more sales.

Well it's good to know the guide is still coming. I'm still willing to get it when it does come out.

I'm use to Rosenqueen/NIS America's shipping price since I usually get stuff from NCSX (New York) and Play-Asia (Hong Kong). For the longest time they charged that much for their USPS Priority Mail based deliveries. It's a little lower but it's still around 7-10 dollars depending on the dimensions, weight and destination.

I think NIS America's price is due to the cost of shipping priority mail. USPS charges by weight and destination so one for example my shipping for Trinity was $12.70 however yours would be around $15. There may also be a cost associated with using Ship4U services too so I'm not sure where that stacks in there.

Since they probably don't do high-volume shipping to the postal service, they probably can't get any shipping discounts.

I feel like it's slightly futile to ask, but is there any more news regarding this guide? Like the poster above me, I'm more than willing to put down money for this guide when it comes out...but I can't help but feel disheartened at the lack of any new news...

We're still working on it. Not sure when it'll be done but it's not dead.
