I'm looking into print on demand. It's still very expensive though. It'd probably be around $30-40 like the Disgaea one.
I, for one, would be willing to pay that price.
If only because PSP games are meant to be played anywhere, and a little book is easier to carry with you and to use than a computer. Smiley
Besides, even if you have a laptop, you may not have an Internet connexion available.

And printing the online guide would either result in B&W hard-to-read stuff or in nicely colored 1-ink-cardridge-per-page stuff. Wink

Long story short : Vote for pre-printed guide ! Grin

P.S.
By the way how many pages does the guide have ?

If Tom Cruise can be a samurai, then I don't see why some Spanish dude can't.

When it's done, it'll have about 100.

From what I've seen so far, if you don't play the stages in the order listed in the guide, the game can be pretty drastically different (I just killed 60 or so Prinnies trying to figure out a strategy for Cardamon; gee, I wonder why the guide tells you how to avoid having to fight that boss, and let's not even talk about how many Prinnies Kim and Chi killed). That being said, it's an excellent guide so far, with the 47 pages currently available. It's easy to see where you guys can double the size fo the guide if so many of the stages have multiple possible bosses along with the variations in the stages themselves.

Hi!

The Cardamon fight is covered in the boss rush stage--she's actually pretty easy no matter what power level she's at.
She can be beaten pretty much in the same way as Turmeric. Hug the left wall like it's your brand new squishy friend and stomp on her like crazy.

As the guide says, though, avoiding Kim and Chi was intentional. Those two are murder. I'll be covering the rest of the bosses in the guide's next update.

I see. Smiley When I read about it being available only online and thus avoiding eBay rip-offs I extended this to it not being available for printing as well. Here (in Germany) they rather print an eBook and sell it instead of selling a copy of the file.

@Janic: My color laser printer wasn't too expensive. It really is an option when you occassionally print some guide pages. And when it's colored... my mom doesn't think of them as memos which can be put in the trash.

Honestly, I'd rather spend money on a physical copy than spend $10 to buy the guide and $40+ on printer ink just to print it out.

Who wouldn't? But with small releases like these, it's e-guide or no guide, because retailers won't order a printed guide on a game like this. Smiley

And, if we can't make money selling e-guides, then it'll be no-guides for sure.

So if you want to see DoubleJump stay in business and make more printed guides, then please buy all of our guides, e- or not e-.  Smiley

I think I posted this one before:

but then I got this one, for Persona 4:

I had to order the missing Disgaea guides (3 and Compilation) from RosenQueen, just couldn't pass up half-off.

So if I understand correctly, the guide includes a walkthrough for only one time period per stage. Is that the case, and if so, does it include maps or anything else for the other time periods?

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. I'm going to buy it anyway. Gotta make sure you guys make it through these troubled economic times. It'd be a tragedy if the greatest guide-makers in the country went out of business.

Thank you for your support!!

The guide covers the most efficient path through the game which stil gives players the chance to skill up for the other variations. The strategies for the missing bosses encountered in those stages will be in the next update, as will the entire alternate/Asagi story line. *whew, this game is tough!!*

We'd screen capture/map all the levels if it'd work (man I love doing that!!) but the 3D-ness of the levels won't let us stitch the shots together properly. It'd only be possible if the developers supplied renders of the levels, which they didn't this time (mostly because we got started on this so late!).
